3-Day Girls Trip to Lake Tahoe (North Shore Edition)
Few things beat a snowy mountain escape with your best friends, and Lake Tahoe delivered the perfect mix of winter adventure, lakeside luxury, and unforgettable memories. For this trip, we stayed on the North shore of Lake Tahoe, where peaceful mountain towns, scenic trails, and chic après spots create the ideal setting for a cozy yet fun-filled getaway.
We were lucky enough to stay at a friend’s beautiful home in Incline Village—just a short walk to local coffee shops, great restaurants, and the lake itself. Here’s how we made the most of three days in North Lake Tahoe with the girls.
Day 1: Snowshoeing & Après Laughter at the Ritz
We kicked off our Lake Tahoe girls’ trip with a snowshoeing adventure at Northstar California—a great way to get moving and take in the quiet, snowy beauty of the pines.
Next came one of our favorite parts of the weekend: taking the Highlands Gondola up to the Ritz-Carlton. Getting on the gondola was a comedy of coordination (lots of laughs), but once we were in the air, we were treated to scenic mountain views and a seriously memorable ride.
The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe did not disappoint. From outdoor firepits to craft cocktails and elegant alpine ambiance filled with great people watching, it was everything you want in an après-ski scene. We ended up staying through dinner—champagne, small plates, and even a round of Fireball shots made it a night to remember.
Day 2: Spa Serenity & Dinner at Bite in Incline Village
We kept day two relaxed. After a leisurely start to the morning and a walk to Drink coffee do stuff coffee shop, we were ready for our spa day at the Hyatt Regency in Incline Village. From steam rooms to massages and a tranquil lounge space, it was exactly the kind of rejuvenation we were craving.
After a casual and low-key afternoon at our accommodations, we got ready and headed to Bite, a small plates restaurant with a modern twist. It was the perfect girls’ night out— delicious, shared dishes, great cocktails, and a stylish yet cozy setting right in the heart of Incline Village.
Day 3: Snowmobiles & Scenic Lunch in Truckee
Our last day brought a dose of adrenaline with a snowmobile tour from Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Tours. Gliding across snowy trails with panoramic mountain views was thrilling, beautiful, and surprisingly peaceful.
Post-ride, we made our way to downtown Truckee for shopping and lunch. We ate at 1882 Bar & Grill, where the deck seating (even in cool weather!) gave us an incredible view. Perched above rocky waters, it was the kind of relaxing mountain town moment that tied the whole trip together.
Before heading home, we stopped into Overland Sheepskin Co. for some cozy shopping, then strolled through the historic downtown popping into various shops and taking in the old-town charm.
