24 Aug Enchantment Resort Sedona
Enchantment Resort – Sedona: A Luxury Escape into Red Rock Tranquility
My husband and I booked a last-minute getaway for just the two of us this past August. For years, the stunning Enchantment Resort in Sedona had been sitting on my travel list, and we finally made it happen. Flights were booked, bags packed, and we were on our way!
I know what you’re thinking—Arizona in August? Isn’t it blazing hot? Surprisingly, the Sedona region stays relatively mild and comfortable during summer, especially compared to the Phoenix heat. Think warm days and cool nights, perfect for exploring.
After landing in Phoenix, we made the scenic 2-hour drive north to Sedona. The moment we arrived; we were surrounded by towering red rocks and desert landscapes that instantly made the trip feel worthwhile. Before heading to the resort, we wandered into town and grabbed lunch at one of the local breweries. We ended up chatting with the bartender—
turns out he moved to Sedona permanently after falling in love with the area. (Honestly, we got it.)
Arrival at Enchantment Resort
Pulling into the Enchantment Resort felt like stepping into a secluded paradise. The check-in process was seamless, with a warm welcome that set the tone for our entire stay. Our suite was stunning—designed with natural hues, locally inspired furnishings, and panoramic views of the red rock canyon that practically begged us to unplug.
Dining With a View
Dinner on the patio was one of those experiences you don’t forget. With a bottle of wine in hand and locally sourced dishes on the table, we watched a lightning show dance across the mountain range—no rain, just nature showing off. It was a cinematic backdrop that felt almost unreal. After dinner, we cozied up by one of the outdoor fireplaces, designed in a style that beautifully reflected the region’s Native American heritage.
On-Property Hiking & Serenity
One of the best parts of staying here? You don’t have to leave to explore. Hiking trails start right on the property, winding through vortex sites, peaceful canyons, and lookout points with sweeping views of Sedona. We took full advantage, hiking early mornings before relaxing the rest of the day.
Mi Amo Spa – A Destination in Itself
Let’s talk about Mi Amo Spa, because wow—it deserves its own spotlight. This isn’t just any spa; it’s consistently rated one of the best luxury spas in the world, and for good reason. As someone who’s pretty well-traveled and admittedly a bit of a spa snob, this place blew me away. Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, a girl’s weekend, or a solo self-care retreat, Mi Amo is the place.
And the cherry on top? At checkout, we were each gifted a plush spa robe to take home. Such a thoughtful touch from an already impeccable experience.
Three Days of Total Bliss
We spent three nights at Enchantment and didn’t feel the need to leave the resort once. From fine dining and world-class spa treatments to scenic hikes and stargazing by the fire, it was pure Southwestern luxury from start to finish. I was so relaxed; I hardly took any photos (a true sign of being in the moment).
We’ll definitely be back.
